Climb the Miġra l-Ferħa hill as many times as possible in 3 hours and raise money for charity!
The Uphill Challenge is a cycling event whereby the participants try to raise money for a local charity. Over the past 5 years the event has attracted hundreds of participants and spectators in similar events in Luxembourg and Curaçao and for the first time ever the event is going to be hosted in Malta on November 24th of 2019.
The goal of the event is to raise money for charity by climbing the Miġra l-Ferħa hill as many times as possible within a 3 hours’ time frame. The course is approximately 1.6 km long. Over this distance, you climb approx. 500 meters with a maximum slope of 12,3%.
During the race all riders will have a digital tracking device fitted on their bike that will track very accurately the number of climbs you make and your time per lap. At the end of the race we will have a ceremony for the top 3 riders (overall) that have raised the highest amount of sponsor money and both a top 3 for men and woman with the most number of laps completed.
